For the a4 b7 there are two of these on the clutch pedal. One for the starter, and one for the ecu. Apparently my oem switch has been on its way out for a long time. My clutch would chatter quite a bit on inclines when the car was cold, I was saving for a new clutch. Then my cruise control stopped working and my engine would over rev on every shift. My search for the fix led me to this switch. I can't speak for every clutch, but replacing this switch fixed my clutch chatter, over revs, and cruise control. I've made 3 4hr round trips, and tons of in town driving, I changed out the switch 22 days ago. Works perfectly!
