First off, make sure you know that, if you are installing this in a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback, that the ignition lock cylinders are different for the manual trans and the auto trans. This one will only work for the auto trans. This was easy to install. Simply move the ignition switch 1 click clockwise on the car with a screwdriver(I think this is the accessory position). Next take the key for this, shove it in, and move it one click forward to the acc position. Next just slide it in where it goes and it will click into place. You're done.
